Assistance
Communities Against
Substance Abuse provides staffing and technical assistance to East County
community collaboratives in Alpine, El Cajon, Lakeside, La Mesa, Lemon Grove,
Spring Valley, Santee and the Mountain Empire communities of Pine Valley,
Descanso, Jamul, Campo, Jacumba, Tecate/Potrero, and Boulevard.
Our technical assistance expertise includes:
Prevention Services – The knowledge and competency to translate
community-based planning objectives to reduce alcohol, tobacco and other
drug problems into action plans using environmentally focused strategies
with specific policy goals. Environmental prevention strategies change our
environment by advancing public and private policies to change community
norms.
Media Advocacy
– Competency in planning, developing and implementing an effective media
action strategy for an alcohol, tobacco and/or other drug prevention campaign.
Media advocacy advances policy goals that change communities.
